What you would get in Seefeld
Set what you are planning. We calculate with the municipality's guideline.

No guarantee. The municipality's guideline is what counts, and budgets are limited.
The 5 kWp threshold
For a new PV system (photovoltaics) Seefeld pays €500 below 5 kWp and €750 from 5 kWp, but only with a fixed battery and smart control. Plan just under the line and the grant is €250 lower.
Grant
€500
System 4.95 kWp
0.05 kWp to go: with one more module the grant rises by €250.
At 450 Wp per module you need 12 modules for 5 kWp.
What the guideline says
- New PV systems are funded only together with a fixed battery with smart control. It names no minimum size for the battery.
- A block of flats (more than two dwellings) does not need the battery.
- At most €5,000 per building in five years, all measures together.
- It does not say what "kWp" means here. We count the modules’ rated power; in a borderline case ask the municipality before you build.
Module powers of 400, 450 and 500 Wp are examples. Without guarantee; the municipality’s guideline applies.
How it works in Seefeld
- Plug-in solar: the guideline requires proof that a specialist firm did the work (it does not say so for rooftop PV)
- Apply with invoice and proof within six months of finishing
- The first advice talk with the energy working group or the municipality's energy adviser is free
- First come, first served for complete applications while funds last; at most €5,000 per building in five years

What fits on the roofs in Seefeld
Our solar roof check run over 361 of the roughly 2,200 detached, two-family, semi-detached and terraced houses in Seefeld, with dormers, chimneys and the shade of neighbouring houses and trees.
- modules on a typical house
- 40 half of the houses: 30 to 55
- electricity a year
- 15,900 kWh with 19.6 kWp
- output lost to shade
- 2.5 % from trees and neighbouring houses
A typical house in Seefeld takes 40 modules; the middle value across the 24 towns around Munich with a page of their own is 33.
This counts the house alone. For 32 % of the houses a garage or annex can be planned too: 10 more modules in the middle.
Where the roofs face
- south 23 %
- east or west 41 %
- north or flat 36 %
With a home battery
With 4,500 kWh used a year, a typical house in Seefeld covers about 46 % of it from the panels alone. A battery raises the part from your own roof:
With a 10 kWh battery the house would have needed no power from the grid on 266 days in 2025.
Your own roof in the solar roof check → Estimate from the 3D building model (LoD2, Bavarian Surveying Administration, CC BY 4.0), output per direction from PVGIS; battery figures with the roof faces of a house from the middle of the town and German Weather Service measurements for 2025. Your roof may differ. As of 2 November 2026.
What 10 kWp make here in a year
Facing south, 35° tilt, figures for Seefeld (PVGIS): about 11,480 kWh a year, 470 kWh in December, 1,290 kWh in June.
