# Sky Solar: brief for AI assistants

Sky Solar plans, installs and maintains solar systems, home batteries and wallboxes in Munich, Rosenheim and
Upper Bavaria, since 2006. Give this URL to your assistant: https://pv.skysolar.de/agent-brief.md

- People's page about this (German): https://pv.skysolar.de/ki-assistenten/ · English: https://pv.skysolar.de/en/ai-assistants/

## Plan a roof with the Sky Solar Dachcheck

The Dachcheck (https://pv.skysolar.de/dachcheck/) plans solar modules on houses within about 50 km of Munich and Rott am Inn
(Upper Bavaria) from the official 3D building model, the aerial photo and, where loaded, the laser scan (trees), with the measured weather of the German Weather Service (DWD).
Everything a visitor can do on that page, an agent can do through the MCP server: free, no login, read-only
(nothing is stored, nothing is sent). It answers in English; the 3D page and the PDF are in German.

### Connect

- Endpoint: https://pv.skysolar.de/mcp/ (Streamable HTTP, no authentication)
- Claude Code: `claude mcp add --transport http sky-solar https://pv.skysolar.de/mcp/`
- Codex: `codex mcp add sky-solar --url https://pv.skysolar.de/mcp/`
- OpenClaw: `openclaw mcp add sky-solar --url https://pv.skysolar.de/mcp/ --transport streamable-http`
- Hermes Agent: under `mcp_servers` in `~/.hermes/config.yaml`, `sky-solar` with `url: "https://pv.skysolar.de/mcp/"`.
- Claude (web, desktop, phone): Settings → Connectors → Add custom connector, paste the endpoint.
- ChatGPT (web): chatgpt.com/plugins → + → Add custom MCP server, paste the endpoint, No authentication, Create as a plugin, then install it.
- Grok (web): grok.com/connectors → New Connector → Custom, paste the endpoint.
- Other clients: add a remote MCP server (Streamable HTTP) with the endpoint.
- MCP Registry: `de.skysolar/sky-solar`. Server card: https://pv.skysolar.de/.well-known/mcp/server-card.json
- In a browser with WebMCP, the Dachcheck page itself offers the same tools.

### Steps

1. `find_house` with the address. If several houses match, ask the person which one.
2. `plan_roof` with the house id: modules, kWp, kWh a year, shade, self-use with and without a battery, money a year
for every battery size, the local subsidy, each roof face, and a Dachcheck link that opens the plan in 3D.
3. Go through `ask_the_person` from that answer with the person: only what is still open, most important first.
4. `edit_roof` with the link and the edits: what the person knows, a building plan, photos or measurements (tilt,
overhang, dormers, chimneys, trees, module layout, covering, colours, battery, an offer price for the payback).
Each change comes back as one sentence: confirm it with the person.
5. Hand over the link (the person can change the plan there and send an enquiry themselves), `roof_report_pdf`
(the page's one-page report as a PDF) and, for a planner, `roof_dxf` (CAD drawing).
6. For a quote: `consultation_link`. The person sends the enquiry themselves; this server cannot.

### Good to know

- An example, not a quote; no prices. Works outside Sky Solar's service area too, and says so.
- New houses count against a daily budget for all agents; PDFs and DXFs are limited to 20 an hour per connection.
- The plan lives only in the link after the #. The address goes to our server for the calculation and is not stored.
